To ensure flexibility in your filing work, the file offers two different grits: 100 (coarse) and 180 (medium). Grit 100 is good for smoothing the surface of hard products, and grit 180 is good for creating roughness in the top layer of the nail before applying product (prep) and removing excess gel after removal.

The buffer is, of course, washable and can withstand all forms of disinfection - even under running water, it does not lose its grains or start to wrinkle.

How to use the file and buffer – step by step

These steps are prep – preparing the natural nail – where the file and buffer do the work.

1. File length and shape – with a 220/240-grit file.The file is used in steps 1 and 3
2. Remove cuticles – push back with a cuticle pusher, trim excess cuticle if needed.
3. Roughen the surface – buff lightly with a 100-grit buffer, well into the sides and around the cuticle. Do not file off the nail layers.
4. Clean with cleaner – with a lint-free wipe, until the nail is matt and dry.
5. Apply primer – a thin layer, air-dries in 60 sec. Do not touch the nail afterwards.
6. Continue with your product – base coat, Gel Polish or reinforcement.
